Selection Criteria

The Glenn Trophy

The Glenn trophy is an annual skeet event between Australia and New Zealand, conducted at the skeet nationals of both countries on an alternate basis – being odd years in New Zealand and even years in Australia. It is a 50 target team event made up of five members from each country.

The selection criteria for both the Australian home and away teams will be the top five scores from the Handicap, Commonwealth and National 12 gauge titles (250 targets in total) with five emergencies in the away team if some people are unable to travel.

As the scheduling of this team event has been moved to the start of our Skeet Nationals, the selection for the team has to be done in the year prior. The 2022 team has already been selected to represent Australia at this years Nationals on the day of the opening ceremony.

Future teams will qualify from the following -:

  • Aus Nat. 2022 select team to compete in 2023 in N.Z.
  • Aus Nat. 2023 select team to compete in 2024 in Aus.
  • Aus Nat. 2024 select team to compete in 2025 in N.Z.
  • Aus Nat. 2025 select team to compete in 2026 in Aus.
  • …and so on.
