Grand Slam Selection Criteria

Selection Criteria for Grand Slam Awards

Skeet Hall of Fame Grand Slam Award
Skeet Shooting Grand Slam awards are presented annually at the ACTA Skeet Hall of Fame Dinner. The awards are in the form of a plaque and are given to those shooters who have satisfactorily proven their attainment of the award criteria since the last annual award ceremony.

AWARD CRITERIA

The qualifying criteria is to achieve a combination of all three individual elements of the award.
The individual elements are:

12 Gauge Skeet 200 Target Break

20 Gauge Skeet 100 Target Break

Skeet Doubles 100 Target Break

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Membership – The recipient must be a registered ACTA member at the time of each individual break and at the receipt of the award.

Eligible Events – Each break can be achieved in any event conducted in Australia, New Zealand or the United States provided that the Shoot Program detailing the relevant event was advertised in advance in the National magazine of the governing body.

Event Rules – The break must be attained in events conducted under ACTA Skeet Rules or rules considered by the ACTA to be a sufficiently close facsimile thereof. NZCTA and NSSA skeet shooting rules are acceptable.

Validity – To be considered eligible, each individual break must conform to the criteria of ACTA Rule 8.23 regardless of what country the break was achieved in.

Substantiation – The onus is on the individual to provide satisfactory evidence to the ASSA, who collect and collate skeet shooting data and records for the ACTA, of each individual break achievement and is not on the ASSA or the ACTA to disprove any claim made by an individual. Satisfactory evidence would normally be in writing and would include a copy of the Shoot Program and the Shoot results. If the Shoot results do not substantiate the claim, then a letter from the Shoot secretary detailing the break and enclosing a copy of the relevant score sheets would suffice.

Recording – The ACTA and the ASSA shall keep an updated list on their websites of those shooters who have proven that they currently hold the required break in each event.

Timeframe – The award is for lifetime achievements and only one will be presented.
